The Council, through its various committees and task forces, provides professional credibility by offering education and certification programs, and developing the Association’s Awards Program for excellence in building, sales and marketing.
The SMC Board meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 A.M., while sub-committees meet as necessary at the HBA Chester/Delaware Office, West Chester PA. A sub-committee of the SMC is the Community Service Committee. This committee oversees and coordinates all matters relating to the community service activities of the Sales and Marketing Council in order to demonstrate the strong commitment of the association and building industry to the betterment of the community. This includes conducting fundraising activities to support the HBA Charitable Trust. This committee meets as necessary depending on the projects to which the Association has committed involvement and financial support.
