Jonathan Rinde Speaks on Wetland Permitting

Philadelphia, PA – Jonathan E. Rinde, a partner with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP (MGKF), an environmental, energy and land use law firm, will present “Ditches, Delineations, and Real Estate Development: How the New Guidance from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Affects Real Estate Development” at a seminar sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties and the Homebuilders Association of Bucks/Montgomery Counties on Tuesday, February 26. The breakfast seminar will be held at Reico Kitchen and Bath Showroom in King of Prussia, Pa.

Rinde will give an overview on legal developments in wetland permitting and enforcement and discuss the new Army Corp of Engineers’ Guidance, issued in June of 2007, highlighting the technical and legal implications. The seminar also includes the topics of jurisdictional appeals, enforcement disputes and permit processing. James C. McCulley of JCM Environmental will also be a presenter.

At MGKF, Rinde’s practice includes matters relating to the environmental aspects of real estate development and management, water, waste and air regulation and permitting, wetlands regulations, brownfields redevelopment, military base conversions, business transactions, and environmental litigation. He has been associated with the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary and recently served as Chair of that board. Rinde is also on the Board of the Conservancy of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County Agricultural Land Preservation Board.

Rinde graduated cum laude from Temple University Law School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Masters of Regional Planning from the University of Michigan.

The seminar, “Ditches, Delineations, and Real Estate Development,” presented by the Homebuilders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties and the Homebuilders Association of Bucks/Montgomery Counties, will take place on February 26 at Reico Kitchen and Bath Showroom, 3602 Horizon Drive, King of Prussia, Pa. Registration and light breakfast begin at 8:30 a.m., with the program running from 9 to 11 a.m. The cost is $25 for HBA members and $35 for non-HBA members.
