Home Builders Association hands out Builder and Associate of the Year honors

West Chester, PA-The Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties (HBA) honored two of its own at the annual Installation of Officers and Directors Banquet, held January 16 at the Springfield Country Club.

Each year the HBA awards one Builder member and one Associate member with the Pillar Award. The Pillar Award recognizes the Builder and Associate member who exemplify outstanding work in fostering the welfare of their business, customers, communities, and the local, state and national home builders associations. This year’s honorees were Builder Frank McKee of the McKee Group, and Associate Andrea Connors of LandAmerica Commonwealth.

Jennifer McKee accepted the award on behalf of her father, who was unable to attend the event, saying it was an honor to receive this award “the HBA is such a great organization for those of us in the building industry. I know my father wishes he could be here to accept this himself and is very proud to receive such an honor.” Based in Springfield, Delaware County, PA, the McKee Group is a family-owned and managed real estate company with a 60-year history of experience in the building industry.

Connors, Vice President and office manager of LandAmerica Commonwealth in Media, was named Associate of the year. “It is truly an honor to be recognized by my peers and the HBA for this prestigious award” said Connors. “There are numerous members of our Association that continue to volunteer their time and financial support to the common goals of the HBA. Having the opportunity to work with these outstanding individuals over the years and see the impact that these contributions have made, and the resulting changes in our industry, has made my involvement worthwhile.”

The Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties (HBA) is a professional trade organization comprised of more than 450 companies involved in every aspect of the new home construction process. The HBA advocates for public policy initiatives and sustainable building techniques that balance the need for strong economic growth and environmental protection. The HBA is dedicated to providing and protecting the American dream of home ownership for current and future generations.
