LATEST IDEA FOR THE FLATS GOES PUBLIC
COATESVILLE MANAGER: IACOBUCCI HOMES PROPOSAL ‘IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE WE HAVE ON THE TABLE’

COATESVILLE — At tonight’s Redevelopment Authority meeting, a developer’s proposal for the Flats that has enthused several city administrators goes public.
During the meeting, Iacobucci Homes representatives are expected to present plans to redevelop the RDA-owned land west of Route 82 and north of West Lincoln Highway.
More than a month ago, the company submitted this proposal to members of the RDA, City Council and other city officials.

COUNTY’S HOME PRICES HOLD STEADY
HOWEVER, HOME SALES VOLUME IN THE COUNTY SLIPPED AND INVENTORY INCREASED, ACCORDING TO REAL ESTATE REPORT
Home prices in Chester County held up compared to the national trend, increasing 0.8 percent in the first quarter, according to the latest Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors HomeExpert Market Report.
The median sales price in the county — meaning half sold for more, half sold for less — was $297,500 in the first quarter of 2008, compared to $295,000 for the first quarter of 2007.
Home sales volume in the county slipped marketedly and inventory increased, however, the Prudential Fox report found.

POHLIG REGROUPS ON REEVES
DEVELOPER GIVES LIST OF ISSUES TO SCHUYLKILL TOWNSHIP PLANNERS

PHOENIXVILLE — Pohlig Builders came before the Schuylkill Township Planning Commission again Wednesday, in an effort to regroup before moving forward on its residential development proposal for the Reeves Property off Valley Forge Road.
In a draft of a summary letter to be shared with all township commissions and committees, Pohlig’s Wayne Leighton said “What we’re trying to do is button up loose ends,” and listed all issues to which Pohlig and the Township had or needed to give attention.
“With new Board members, we thought that it might be best to revisit this,” Leighton said, “We’re getting close to a list of, maybe a half dozen issues, what we can’t agree on, rather than get distracted by 200.
