Home Builders Association Holds 19th Annual Pyramid Awards

West Chester, PA- The Home Builders Association of Chester & Delaware Counties (HBA) recently held its 19th Annual Pyramid Awards ceremony, April 24, 2008 at the Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill.

The Pyramid Awards honor the excellence in construction, sales and marketing as well as design of new homes in Chester and Delaware Counties. Some of this year’s top winners include the Benson Companies, Toll Brothers and Mingioni Construction.

Also honored was Rich Mingey, president of The Kelly Group. Mingey received the prestigious Al Goldstein Distinguished Service Award. This award is given to an HBA member who has demonstrated leadership in the HBA of Chester & Delaware Counties through business success, charitable endeavors and commitment of time, financial resources and expertise in the government and political issues affection the building industry. 

The night also included a presentation of scholarships from the Al Goldstein Scholarship Fund to Chris Goodman and Michael Gray, students at the Williamson Free School for Mechanical Trades,

Goodman is a 2005 graduate of Haverford High School who hopes to work in residential renovation upon graduation. Gray is a graduate of Avon Grove High School, upon graduation from Williamson he plans continue his education in pursuit of a degree in business.

The Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties (HBA) is a professional trade organization comprised of more than 450 companies involved in every aspect of the new home construction process.  The HBA advocates for public policy initiatives and sustainable building techniques that balance the need for strong economic growth and environmental protection.  The HBA dedicated to providing and protecting the American dream of home ownership for current and future generations.
