HBA Sponsors American Red Cross Blood Drive

West Chester, PA- the Home Builders Association of Chester & Delaware Counties sponsored an American Red Cross Blood Drive held at Pohlig Builders in Malvern, Wednesday May 13.
The Blood Drive collected more than three gallons of blood overall, for each pint donated up to five lives can be saved. Some four million people give blood, through the Red Cross, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States.
Wednesday’s event was only one of many Community Service activities in which the HBA participates. Over the past five months the HBA has taken collections for the Coatesville Arson Victims, Victims of Domestic Violence and the Salvation Army. Members of the HBA have also volunteered to serve dinner to the less fortunate at the Salvation Army Food Kitchen in West Chester, PA.
Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.
