Michael J. McGee, CAE, Executive Vice President
Michael serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the HBA, recommending and participating in the formulation of new policies and strategies to advance the Association’s mission. He is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating staff, programs, and activities to ensure the association’s goals and objectives are met. Michael reports directly to the Association’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Kira Barbieri, Director of Communications and Member Services
Kira is responsible for developing and managing membership recruitment and retention programs that increase the Association’s membership base. She also develops, manages, and promotes member services that enhance the value of membership. Kira also produces, updates, and distributes Association communication pieces, including the website, e-newsletters, and membership directory. She provides primary staff support to several HBA Committees, including Membership, Education, and Communication.
Becky Bennington, Director of Special Events
Becky develops and manages the special events of the association, including the Pyramid Awards, General Membership Meetings, Educational Offerings, Golf Outings, Fundraisers and social functions. She is also responsible for processing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing for all areas of the association in accordance with set guidelines and procedures. Becky provides primary staff support for the Sales and Marketing Council, Associate Council, and various work groups and task forces.
Bridget Scanlon, Director of Government Affairs
Bridget is responsible for managing the government affairs activities for the Home Builders Association of Chester and Delaware Counties, as well as the HBA of Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Her duties include monitoring and responding to local legislative issues, developing media responses to public policy issues, distributing PAC checks, coordinating candidate interviews, managing the Voice of Housing Political Action Committee, and administering local issues at a regional level. She also coordinates grassroots efforts in support of NAHB and PBA public policy initiatives.
Lauren Tappenden, Office Assistant
Lauren provides part time general office assistance, including phone and clerical support, event registration, data entry, and other administrative assistance.
